These groups offer support, encouragement, connection, and comfort to those facing common issues related to aging and caregiving.
CVCOA offers several different confidential and safe support and social groups for older adults and their caregivers.
Memorable Times Café and Memorable Times Online
Memorable Times Café and Memorable Times Online are relaxed social times for people living with mild to moderate memory loss and their care partners. Sponsored by Central Vermont Council on Aging in partnership with the ABLE Library.
- Join us on Zoom weekly, Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., for the Memorable Times Online Jukebox with Friends from Scotland.
- Memorable Times Café meets at the Vermont History Center, 60 Washington St., Barre City quarterly on the third Wednesday of the month, 1:30 p.m. -3:00 p.m.

Caregiver Tea
Caregiver Tea is an in-person social gathering for family caregivers. Participants can enjoy a break from caregiving and share in conversation with other caregivers. Living with Alzheimer's for Caregivers is a series of education programs offered by the Alzheimer's Association that provide answers to the questions that arise in early, middle and late stages of the disease.

The Volunteer Chaplaincy Program at Gifford Medical Center invites community members to attend “Living Through Loss,” a grief support group from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. every Friday in the Gifford Medical Center Chapel. The weekly group is open to anyone who has experienced loss.
