Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program (AFEP) Volunteer Instructor Training
Thursday November 3rd 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm@ Waterbury Public Library (SAL Room), 28 N. Main Street, Waterbury, VT
Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA) is looking for volunteers aged 55 and over to lead Arthritis Foundation Exercise Program (AFEP) classes for older adults. Become an AmeriCorps Seniors volunteer today with our RSVP program and make a difference in your community!
AFEP is a low impact and evidence-based program. It is well-balanced, including exercises for flexibility, strengthening, balance and cardiorespiratory endurance. Volunteers who choose to get involved can truly make a difference in others’ health and well-being. In addition, studies show that volunteering results in an increase in the volunteer’s mental and physical health and life satisfaction.
Date: Thursday, November 3, 2022, 2 to 4:30 pm
Place: Waterbury Public Library, (SAL Room), 28 N. Main Street, Waterbury, Vt.
For more information, please contact Anne Greshin at [email protected] or 802-241-4840.
