Would you like to help create a world where aging is honored?
Join Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA) in our mission to support Central Vermonters to age with dignity and choice.
There are many ways you can use your energy and experience to help our older neighbors remain in the homes and communities they love. You can provide companionship, offer respite, prepare a garden bed or stack wood. You can lead a wellness class, deliver Meals on Wheels, provide a trip to the grocery store, or more.
As a Good Neighbor, Senior Companion or RSVP volunteer, we can match you with an opportunity that is right for you. We offer many opportunities for you to make a difference – in your own life as well as those of others.
Volunteering helps you remain connected to your community. Social connection helps you – and those you are supporting – to thrive and enjoy life. Volunteering is good for your health. It can help reduce depression, lessen chronic pain and give your brain a boost.
CVCOA requires that all volunteers who are serving in person be fully vaccinated and boosted, depending on the timing of your original two doses. CVCOA has virtual volunteer opportunities for everyone, regardless of vaccination status.
Doing good is good for you and the community!
