CVCOA is the statewide sponsor for this program, which is considered a “domestic” Peace Corps initiative. N2N provides support through activities such as:

  • Performing direct services to enable seniors and those with disabilities to continue living independently
  • Recruiting volunteers and directing them in their services with seniors and those with disabilities
  • Presenting aging programs and activities with focuses such as exercise and movement, healthy living, safety, memoir writing, crafts, and more
  • Building partnerships with schools, churches, service clubs, and other organizations that serve seniors and those with disabilities
  • Engaging in community service learning, monthly trainings, reading groups, and teamwork to meet the challenges of being an AmeriCorps member as well as life after AmeriCorps
