N2N AmeriCorps
2012 - 2013 Neighbor to Neighbor AmeriCorps Team
Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) AmeriCorps is a National Service program
sponsored by Central Vermont Council on Aging in cooperation with
other Vermont Area Agencies on Aging.
During an 11-month term of service, N2N AmeriCorps members
strengthen communities around the state
and participate in a comprehensive training program.
The N2N mission is to serve seniors and adults with disabilities by:
- Helping them with in-home tasks so they can contine to live at home, in their communities
- Engaging them in healthy aging programs, particularly nutrition and multi-session exercise programs, and a variety of activities and opportunities to socialize
- Strengthening community organizations and volunteer networks that support seniors, and
- Building N2N members' skills, leadership qualities and civic participation.
