Community Meals

The Congregate Meal Program provides seniors and those with disabilities with nutritious, hot meals, positive social interaction, mental stimulation, informal support systems, as well as the opportunity for meaningful community involvement. A person is eligible for the Congregate Meal Program if he/she is:

  • 60 years of age or older, or the spouse of a senior regardless of age.
  • Handicapped or disabled and living in a housing facility where a Title III congregate meal program is operated.
  • Handicapped or disable and resides with or is in the care of a senior who is attending the meal.

A non-senior volunteer performing essential duties for the operation of the meal program, though volunteers are encouraged to make a private anonymous contribution toward the cost of the meal.
