Information & Assistance

Whether it’s a simple question or a complex situation, Information & Assistance (I & A) staff are available to assist individuals, family members, caregivers and others.

I & A staff are knowledgeable, patient, and supportive. They can:

  • provide accurate and comprehensive information about the wide range of community and statewide senior services, including:
  • in-home help
  • transportation
  • public benefits
  • 3SquaresVT application
  • health insurance
  • housing
  • nutrition
  • help to prioritize needs, identify resources, and build action plans
  • make referrals to CVCOA case managers, other agencies, or additional services
  • advocate on behalf of those who require extra support
  • follow up to assure that needs have been met
  • respect peoples’ rights to privacy and self-determination

Concerned community members also make referrals to I & A on behalf of seniors who may be at risk and/or in need of services.
