Central Vermont Council on Aging (CVCOA) has been supporting elders and family caregivers in leading healthy, independent, meaningful and dignified lives in their homes and communities for over 30 years.
We support independence, self-choice and security for all elders through a variety of programs and services. Some of these we provide directly through CVCOA staff. Other programs we provide through contract with other organizations.
CVCOA is one of five Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) serving seniors and their families in the state. We work closely with the Vermont Department of Disabilities, Aging and Independent Living (DAIL) to provide services authorized by the federal Older Americans Act. We collaborate with other service providers to help develop and coordinate a comprehensive system that helps promote senior independence.
