Contact Economic Services Division for food stamps or for financial, fuel or emergency housing assistance.

Contact Child Development Division at 1-800-649-2642 to get an application for financial assistance for childcare or visit www.brightfuturesinfo.org

Contact Family Services Division to learn about caring for a child in DCF custody and about other financial resources that may be available to you.

Vermont Kin as Parents, known as VKAP, is a nonprofit organization committed to supporting kin who are raising relative children. VKAP facilitates support groups andoffers resources and referral services to caregivers. Call (802) 338-4725.

 

Support Groups:

Grandparents Raising Their Children's Children - Washington County

Montpelier - Second Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Bethnay church. Childcare provided.

Waterbury - Third Tuesday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Wesley Methodist Church. Light refreshments and childcare provided.

Williamstown - First Wednesday of the month fro 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Childcare provided.

Woodbury - Fourth Monday of the month from 6:00 to 8:00 pm in Woodbury Community Room. Childcare and snacks provided.
